Groundbait

All about Groundbait.

Tips:

1. throw your balls of groundbait short of the pole tip so they don't overshoot the mark as it travels underwater. Better to fall short than go longer, especially if you don't have any more pole to fish further out.

2. To prevent your groundbait from drying out, put a damp towel over the top of it.

Wet your hands when forming the balls of groundbait as this will give them a slight skin and help it to remain intact as it flies through the air.

If you are feeding a load of groundbait at the start of your session, then form all the balls in one go. Line up with a static marker on the far bank and hopefully you will get more of a rhythm and be more accurate throwing the balls in the same spot.
