Pellets
Pellets are the number one bait for commercial fisheries, but also have a place on rivers and canals.
The main species that is attracted to pellets is Carp but closely followed by Bream and Tench. Pellets will of course catch other species like roach, chub, barbel, etc but other baits like maggots, casters and worms are a safer bet for these species.
Pellets are used to rear the majority of stocked fish in a commercial so it makes sense to use this bait to catch fish with as they are already use to eating this source of food.
Nearly ever bait company has its own brand of pellets, which will have their own specific formulas, additives and recipes.
