Features:

It is important to try and fish to features. Reason for this is two-fold. Features provide fish with cover as they will feel vulnerable swimming out in open water. The other reason is to find food.

Marginal features will generally have some plant life near them, which in turn generally houses insects, which the fish will naturally feed and survive on.

Wind:

Quite simply you want the wind blowing onto your back or find a calm area in the water that is out of the wind.

Tow:

Tow is often a counterbalanace to the wind and will go in the opposite direction. This turns cold surface water over onto the bottom and pushes it back across the lake. The anglers with a facing wind will then have cold water on the bottom and the top forcing the fish out of the area to find an area of warmer water. As the tow travels along the bottom it will warm up slightly and, as it reaches the far bank, the tow will be at its warmest. This is where alot of the fish will be.
